The decision is based on Illustrious Declare No. 53/2023 and the Service of Labor’s commercial license regulations, which align with Choice No. 180/2022. This decision terminates the issuance of commercial permits for the contracting of remote laborers in specific occupations.
The issuance of commercial licenses for the work of non-Omani laborers in private division education for the occupations recorded within the attachment of this choice will be suspended for six months, as per Article 1 of this choice. Despite the provisions of Article 1, Article 2 allows for the issuance of work permits for remote nationals in registered employment, as long as the request pertains to the establishment or exchange of services within the Sultanate of Oman.
