Requirements

Educational Qualifications:

Experience:

• At least one to three years of experience in farming or a related area is ideal.
• Even though experience is desired, it’s not necessary because you may be able to learn on the job.

Technical Knowledge:

• Understanding of how to grow vegetables, including how to plant, water, fertilize, and gather them.
• Pest control knowledge is important to keep food safe from diseases and pests.

Equipment Operation:

• Know how to use and understand farm tools and machines like tractors, plows, and watering systems.
• Able to do regular repair on machines and figure out small problems with them.

Physical Stamina:

• Having the physical strength to do things like lifting, bending, and standing for long amounts of time.
• Be ready to work outside in all kinds of weather, such as heat, cold, rain, and wind.

Other Skills:

• Dependability and a strong work attitude.
• The ability to do what you’re told and work with others as well as alone.
• You need to be able to solve problems and pay attention to details.

Job Duties of a Vegetable Farm Workers Forewoman

Oversee Farm Workers and Coordinate Work:

• Keep an eye on and manage the farm workers to make sure they do their jobs properly and quickly.
• Set up work schedules for farm workers and give them jobs based on what the farm needs.

Supervise Farm Crew:

• Lead the farm crew that is in charge of making things, like planting, growing, and picking veggies.
